Frickin' Frack!!!
I can't even remember the last time I've gotten a ticket. Actually, I do remember. It was 12 years ago for speeding. And today, I get one for speeding. It was stupid too. I had just turned on Forrestor Road and finally gotten up to normal speed. In one fell swoop, I check my speed so I can set the cruise control, noticed that I was going too fast, tap on the brake to slow down, look up and there was a CHP cruiser head towards me. Look up at my rear view and I see him pull a u-turn and light me up. F**k! I thought I was going 69 but he said he clocked me at 72. Who am I to quibble over a couple MPH's. The speed limit was 55 but he wrote me down for 65.

Anyways, I get to mom's without incident and I think I've fixed the electrical problem (once again).
Engine ground looked fine but I replaced it anyway. Transaxle ground was caked with grease and grime so I replaced that. Checked for battery draw by taking out the negative terminal. Didn't see any draw via the multimeter and the spark test.
Washed. Waxed. Pictures.
The original paint on this Karmann Ghia is Cypress Green. You can still see evidence of the original color in the interior, front trunk and barely in the rear engine bay. The current color looks more like Zambesi Green, but really, it's just some generic green paint that the previous owner chose. I'm still undecided as to whether or not to put it back to the original Cypress Green.
