We just got back from Japan and I'm really jet-lagged. I want to see the Ghia but I don't feel like making the three-hour drive up to LA.

I get a call at 10 AM from a guy who claims to be interested in the Audi. We set a meeting for 4 PM. He comes and asks a few questions about the car. I ask him if he wants to go for a test drive. It's almost like I forced him to drive it. After a really quick drive around the block, he says he'll buy it at my asking price. No haggling. I like it! He gives me cash, I hand him the title and he's off. Or so I thought. The car wouldn't start!!

Deja-vu.

But this time, push starting was not an option. I offer to cancel the deal but he still wants to go for it. He calls AAA for a tow and off he went.

Still having problems with the battery dying on the Karmann Ghia. Maybe I should just keep it hooked up to the battery minder.

Changed out the rusty tailpipe peashooter exhaust for a newer, shiny chrome pair. Also changed out the front amber turn signals for some clear ones. What a difference!
